Linux, Microsoft, Apple! It's so confusing! which operating system is best? I'm here to tell you, as briefly as possible, that it doesn't matter. First of all, the majority of users are like me; they see their operating system for no more than three seconds, before launching their favorite application. Second, we know you all want money, even the Linux companies.

The good folks at IBM give us some more information on how to extend their tools, with a look at porting Domino applications to Solaris and Linux. This can open up new markets and free it from platform dependence, if you follow a few simple guidelines.

Features will be: microkernel based; highly concurrent; object-oriented infrastructure, with reflection; support for a GUI; realistic security facilities.

The objective is mainly to demonstrate Ada as a systems programming language.
