Even the web site is run off AtheOS. The kernel was written from scratch. It supports SMP (Symmetric Multi Processing), has a built-in network TCP/IP stack. It supports loadable device-drivers and file-systems. Other very impressive feature is a 64-bit journaled filesystem! In fact, the latest version of AtheOS runs off only a native partition. Quite a bit of stuff has been ported over including Apache, qmail, ssh, PHP, bash, BIND, wu-ftpd and much more. Development Status This OS is being actively developed. Support Intel, AMD and other compatible processors.
