RTEMS is a real-time executive which provides a high performance
environment for embedded military applications including many
features. RTEMS was developed by On-Line Applications Research
Corporation (OAR) for the U.S. Army Missile Command prior to that
organization's merger with the Aviation Command that resulted in the new
command-U. S. Army Aviation and Missile command (AMCOM).
Development Status
Very active. Beta 4.5.0 was released on 23 May 2000. There is also a
active development community behind this.
